Well sparks... good question
I know there are diffrent % depending on what kind of craft
A lvl 5 sword or Armor give 0.4% per spark Other lvl 5 and rar lvl 5 crafts only 0.1%
As far as i could test.
This makes 250 sparks for 100% to get a item with skill if used on a lvl5 armor or sword (untested)
or 1000 sparks for other items
Well and you can just try your luck and throw them in... but better on a sword or armor craft.
Im thinking about keeping all my sparks for the rar lvl5sword craft(only 0.1% but it could be worth it... 1000 sparks wtf) or i wait for 250sparks and try to force a skill on my armor.

If you craft level5 blue equipment, you need 100 sparks for 100% chance to get skill. For purple you need 400 sparks and for gold 1000.

Hm why dose it show me 0,4% per spark on all colores on the lvl5 sword craft? Dose it change the % if i use it x250 or did they change with the outcome. Edit Now i got it: But is has to be 100 /250/1000 sparks not 400 right? 1% 0,4 0,1 Do i get the chances on the craft or dose it change with the outcome(blue purple gold) afterwards?

You are right, it has to be 100, 250, 1000. I did the blue with 100 sparks on Elemaki and got Muddle. I had 2% to get purple and 98 to get blue and it showed me 40% - as for blue, so it is 250 sparks for purple.

This means if you had been lucky enugh to get the 2% purple... your chance to get a skill had been droped? From 1% to 0,4per spark But as long as you craft a blue item its 100% with 100 sparks?

So then would it be more sensible to craft a lvl 5 blue equipment with 100 sparks for guaranteed skill or lvl 5 gold with no sparks?

So then would it be more sensible to craft a lvl 5 blue equipment with 100 sparks for guaranteed skill or lvl 5 gold with no sparks? Depends on what your going for gold with skill is ofc much better on the very long term But you wont get enugh sparks to use it on every equipment But you can go for gold on the slots with a high value for your decks like boots or sword And a blue armor or helmet with skill is better than nothing I think i try to rech 250. Try the lvl5 gold craft if i get gold... its fine If i get purple its at least with a 100% skill And still a chance to get a lvl5 gold with skill I still dont know if i fully understand the system but I think 4 xgold + lvl3 gold equipmen + 250 sparks give me this possibilitys 10,5% gold with skill 31,5% just gold 58,0% purple with skill The worst case is still quit good in this craft But i have no idea if i understand the system well enugh

Yes, I took that risk. It is hard to have a 100% chance for blue

After playing around and doing some trial and error based on the above info along with my mistakes, here's an easy guide that I hope you can understand. ------------------------- (Gold or Orange is the same thing. They both refer to a lvl 5 version of the material.) The Goal: EFFICIENTLY get the best Gold equipment for your deckStage 1: Identify which equipment and the materials needed for the lvl 1 and lvl 3 equipment versionThis is important because you will be spending a lot of time crafting the required materials. If you try to do everything at the same time, it will take forever. My main deck is a recycler + heavy hitter or disposal depending on the opponent.
Since it is recycle heavy with my HB, I realize my main equipment should be focused on improving dodge ability. That means, I need to go with the best crafted boots equipment.
Stage 2: Get any Purple lvl 1 equipment Each equipment has 5 levels. * lvl 1 equipment need 2 materials and 1 equipment to craft * lvl 2 equipment need 3 materials and 1 equipment to craft * lvl 3 equipment need 4 materials and 1 equipment to craft * lvl 4 equipment need 4 materials and 1 equipment to craft * lvl 5 equipment need 4 materials and 1 equipment to craft
The goal is to be efficient.
So stage 2 is to get a lvl 1 purple equipment by collecting the following:
- 1 purple material for the equipment you want to make
- 1 white material for the equipment you want to make
- any 1 white equipment
Boots Example: To craft a purple lvl 1 boot, I need one purple of gnarl or steel and a white version of the other. Then I need to have any white equipment.
Add the 2 materials and 1 equipment to craft a purple lvl 1 boots.
Side note: When you add the materials, you see a % number on the right side. Like this screenshot. screencast.com/t/RAD1kp7r1K That tells you the probability of what color material you get. In the screenshot I didn't have any materials, but you can see that it's likely to be a white equipment.
Stage 3: Work on getting GOLD lvl 1 equipment
Following the same concept as stage 2, the next step is to work on getting a gold version of the lvl 1 equipment. Because you need at least one gold lvl 1 equipment to have a 100% probability of crafting a gold lvl 3 equipment.
You spent too much time to waste materials for a failed craft.
To understand stage 3, think about this backwards.
To craft a gold lvl 1 equipment, you can do it in the following ways
- two purple materials (purple gnarl and purple steel) + one purple lvl1 equipment (from stage1)
OR when you understand how this works better or get lucky and draw a gold material
- one gold material/equipment and one white material/equipment (combination doesn't matter here)
- (always check the right side % number and make sure it says 100% chance of getting the gold equipment)
Congratulations, you got a gold lvl 1 equipment.
Simple Boots Example: Get enough white materials of gnarl and steel (about 64 of them) to upgrade them to purple grades. Then make any white lvl 1 equipment. Add the purple gnarl and purple steel and white lvl 1 equipment and craft to get lvl 1 gold boots.
Complex Boots Example: Since I had lots of material that I never knew how to use, I had gold talon. After reading what brobelix said, I created a gold lvl 1 cloth tunic using gold talon and white jawbone.
But I'm after boots, and know that one gold equipment/material + white material/equipment = gold lvl 1 equipment. So I went to craft boots and added the gold lvl 1 cloth tunic + white gnarl.
Bingo. I got a gold lvl 1 boots.
Stage 4: Work on getting GOLD lvl 3 equipment Use all that you've mastered up to stage 4. Again think backwards using the following info.
To craft lvl 3 gold equipment you need the following:
- one gold lvl 1 equipment
- one gold material
- two purple material
- one blue material
Total 5 items.
When you've built up enough materials and equipment, you can craft a gold lvl 3 equipment.
Notice the difference between the lv l3 gold and lvl 5 blue. It was quicker to make the lvl 3 gold and I have better stats. Now imagine getting lvl 5 gold
That's what I'm working on.
Stage 5: Work on getting lvl 5 Gold
The sequence is to go from lvl 1 gold -> lvl 3 gold > lvl 5 gold. Ignore lvl 2 and lvl 4 equipment. Not needed. Unfortunately, there is no way to get 100% guarantee rate for lvl 5 gold.. You just need to get 4 gold materials and 1 gold equipment to have 42% chance of getting lvl 5 gold equipment. Dismantling Techniques
This is the key. You'll likely draw gold or purple materials that you don't want or are not trying to accumulate. There is a technique to switch it from one item to another. It's called dismantling. If you click on any equipment, you get 3 options. 1. dismantle 2. equip/unequip 3. upgrade In the boots case, to work on getting lvl 1 gold, I need gold gnarl or steel. For a lvl 3 gold boots, I need one gold of any feather, gnarl, steel or extract. But let's say I did lucky draw and got a gold sawtooth. The technique to transform it to a gold gnarl or steel is to first: 1. craft a gold lvl 1 bronze belt by using one gold sawtooth + 1 white fur 2. craft a gold lvl 1 cloth boots by using the gold lvl 1 bronze belt from (1) and one white gnarl/steel 3. dismantle the gold lvl 1 cloth boots and you will get either a gold gnarl or gold steel If you get the same gold material after dismantling, just re-craft it with another white item and then dismantle again to see if you get another gold material. You can do this as many times as you want. I've been thinking. For F2P or just STAR players, is lvl 5 equipment worth the risk? So much time and gems required. What about lvl 4 gold? What are the highest % odds of getting it crafted? And what is needed?

Would be something to consider as well First of all. Sparks increase 0 the chance of a secondary skill. They are only used for extra ability like muddle. These gamechanger. You have a chance to get a secondary skill with blue equipment and above. Like bonus hp, attack..... From my experience purple have a higher chance then blue and gold higher then purple, to receive one. But I cant tell if the chance from a lvl3 purple is less then a lvl5 purple. Also no idea if a blue lvl5 is higher then a purple lvl3. No idea about the exact relation. On the other hand and I think Nafai wrote something about the chances to get ability with sparks. On lvl2 blue one 100 sparks is a 100 % success chance im quiet sure.

And what is needed? Well a gold lvl4 gives 10-20% Stats a purple lvl5 gear the same... and this is the worst case outcome both need 4 materials and a equipment sacrifice. I cant tell you % to get lvl4 gold but ill look as soon as i get the materials And lvl5 purples can be quiet good Better try your luck on lvl 5 or stay with lvl3 crafts its the highest craft with almost 100% I made 8 lvl 5 crafts and i have got 4xgold 4x purple for now... it like a coin flip to me with 1 lvl3 gold item+ 4x Gold

If the stats are like that where gold lvl 4 equipment is similar to purple lvl 5, then definitely worth the lvl5 and hope to get a gold.
