I remember seen someone post a "quick fix" during last patch or maintance on blademaster. It seems his skill got nerf to the point that it doesn't do the same damage as before. It barely reach 1.6k at lv 5. I think they made it, so the damage increase of missing hp only apply to each creature instead of combine.
Someone try him and let me know. Please! =_=

I just want to bring this topic back alive. I'm going to use Blademaster once I level it up to at least LV.5 and once I have better talents on it. I saw something on the other board and that's good information about how big the damage output of Blademaster is. At the lower levels the hero is quite weak, but once you level it up, it'll grow in damage a lot!

The information you are posting is dated. As OP stated, they changed it back in August. I have been using Blademaster since late April and can confirm. Before, it was just as kswong determined: the damage done to the first creature was what was used in the damage calculation, and this number applied to each of the other creatures on the field. Now, it calculates the damage done to each creature individually. So, creatures undamaged at the time the skill goes off will only suffer the minimum, while other creatures already damaged will suffer whatever percentage of hp lost plus the base damage.
I just did a quick check on a recent Tournament battle to verify, just looking at two creatures, one damaged, one undamaged. My Blademaster's butcher skill is at level 4. So it deals 500 + 65% hp lost, capped at 1750, and instakilling if the creature falls below 26% max hp. The damaged creature was a level 15 Yeti. His initial hp was 2143, but was augmented to 2747 when played due to the hero's Neander and All vigor runes and Nidhogg's Earth Totem. He was down to 1329 when Butcher activated, and lost all his hp. Now, we can see that the augmented hp helps, since if it did not, he would only suffer 1086 damage, and would have been instakilled instead of just killed outright (initial 2143 - 1329 gives 814 damage done; 65% of that is 529.1 + 500 base would yield 1029.1; the difference of my skill potency against his skill resistance due to equipment was 5.51%, so add that difference). The undamaged creature was a level 15 Spider Queen who had 2647 hp after augmentation when played; she only suffered 528 damage (500 base + 5.51% skill potency equipment bonus).
I am not sure if the change made the power is better or worse. From my experience it seemed more often than not the hero power went off after I had already cleared the field and new creatures were played. Maybe it was just bad luck. When manually battling, it was quite the balancing act to keep the damage to the first creature low without killing it, lol!
In any case, Bullseye creatures are important for this hero. If you are not facing a lot of immunity and/or spiky bits, magic is quite effective. Similarly Rip is very effective (Demon Templar has worked quite well for me here). Killer Queen is great, too, now that the power has been fixed. Obviously, cards like Taurus, Octavius and Ordinance would be ideal: whatever they do not kill would be quite vulnerable to Butcher. Kitsune seems to have been designed especially with this power in mind!
Let me also say that the text describing the power is vague and misleading. Here it is (for level 4): "Deals Direct DMG equal to 500 plus 65% of HP lost to all enemy Creatures. Up to 1750 DMG can be dealt by this skill. Enemy Creatures with less than 26% Max HP will be destroyed instantly." The confusion comes from "all." When I read it the first time, I assumed the power worked the way it did now, being applied to all enemy creatures individually (as opposed to just one creature). But I think some people think the "all" means that the damage is all the damage done to every creature and that single number is the damage each creature takes. I do not know what IGG had in mind when designing this skill, but I sure wish it were the latter!
