As I got some good cards after long grinding as Octavius, SS and Aquarius, the view of heroes changed a little. I no longer need to copy enemy creatures so much or disable them. I need to keep alive my destroyers. And everybody around is using VS, Oceanus, Warbinger or Captivator.
So I got the idea that in this configuration Warlock can be really good (and when Flare Summoner bug will be repaired it will be even stronger). Mine is at level 6 now, close to level 7. What do you think about it? And what talents for him? Group Tactics seems clear but second one?
I still love Warlock. It's so nice to remove status effects and to restore hp. That doesn't mean that Warlock is king of the hill. There are so many better options these days that Warlock is a bit best of the rest... When you want to keep your creatures alive as long as possible, you've two options. The first is to prolonge their life through healing and or remove/protect your creatures from status affects. The other option is to do as much damage/status affects as possible. When I compare Warlock with Vile Songstress (healing vs. dealing status affect) you see that Vile Songstress protects your creatures against damage as well by making your opponents creatures incapable to attack your creatures. So the big question will be... Do you want a hero that nullifies your opponents crratures- and si their power or do you want a hero skill that only affects your own creatures?
When you continue to use Warlock, try Group Tactics and Divine Shield or Firestorm and Freezing Dance. I use the Firestorm and Freezing Dance combination and I love it.

Against flame summoners i see some good options. With a higher lvl his ultimate will be ready every round. Unfortunately i find judgment in pvp better. But the higher hp of your creatures the better is the ultimatw since it uses max health.

Thanks Nemesis. I have Firestorm already, need to be lucky with Freezing Dance or GT. Idea is that really lot of people around has now VS, Capti or Warbinger. And Warlock is their natural contra. I will try and tell you the results. But I am quite positive that it can work in tournament.
As far as I know it dosent remove warbringers skill ......
I can't say for sure but I think it doesn't ...plz check this fact
Nothing stops crimson tide .....not even storm ward ....its rupture effect goes even through ward that's why warbringer is so powerful cuz VS can only disable warded creatures but warbringer can kill them .

It depends on your deck composition as well. Warlock needs own creature damage for the rage. So for me GT and DS would be not the best strategy and it wont help against Taurus and the other op cards.
I would use protection to increase the HP as much as possible and use some attacking talent. I like Firestorm and Freezing dance. If You have some good Faen for the deck: Fight Back is also nice
Currently I have Protection, Firestorm and Bone wall 1(this I haven't updated yet...)
I also like Warlock, but I still dont have a stable deck for him. In my Arena a guy used 3-4 IM Oracles and other Humans...was hard to kill with VS in auto mode...
I so prefert Judgment wich cover your creatures for a full turn after yours, but I finished my Warlock and will try to find a strategy special to beat VS.
The best strategy with Warlock is to goffer for neanders. Warlocks protects your creatures from lock-down and heals them. This means you need strong creatures with stoneskin.
My suggestion is this (I use almost the same):
Warlock Protection Firestorm Freezing Dance / Group Tactics
This deck is easy to make and easy to use. It wins a lot of battles and because of the two times Nidhogg all your neanders gain 1.000 HP extra. You can use an extra Nidhogg Recycle instead of Horned Beast Recycle, but I prefer to balance it. If you do that, you can swap out the Nidhogg Frost Armor for a Ridge Hunter with Frost Armor or Rampart. If you prefer to use Flare Summoner in a different deck, you can add Ride Hunter without the loss of Horned Beast Recycle. The combination of raw power (two Anathema's and Graboid) and Flare Summoner's Hellfire plus the Firestorm kills your opponent's creatures very fast.
I said earlier that Divine Shield is a good choice for Warlock, but I take that back. Divine Shield does almost the same as Warlock's Prayer and since most have the creatures already have Immunity or Stoneskin, Divine Shield isn't needed.
im at 91 shards now on my warlock. I took judgement first from tournament mall he works very well against flamme summoner with a few lvl and some spellresist the burn just heals you up x)
I use VS Jugement and Wight right now in tournament
i was thinking to replace wight lvl9 with Warlock lvl1? But im not sure if i can make a working deck without undying because... i only have 1 rec and a (D)revive for my third tournament deck.
what you think can warlock lvl1 work without 2xrecycle in tournament or better wait till warlock has some higher lvl and stay with wight lvl9?
