Does someone know how you could win the five star without having cards like Judgement?

I don't see it happening with any other hero than Judgement. As it is, even with Judgement it's hard enough. Sometimes takes me 10+ tries just for a few measly shards...
One of the biggest problem your facing is the Battleset 10 hitting random opposing crits. This means if it hits the bullseye or the chainstrike one, you're going to be hit for 4K and you need to survive it. If you don't, your setup will crumble. Usually the crit your going to throw in front of the RIP one is not going to have FA either, so this one also needs to be able to suck up 4K.
Now once you have those crits in place and they can suck up the 4K hits, you need to make sure that they still have the 4K health when they get hit. There are 4 opposing crits with picking off and toxicity that happen, regardless of wether your Mithril Drone is out or not. If the damage from Picking Off and Toxicity is not immediately healed up by Judgement Skill, you run the risk of your crit being at 3.9K when the Battleblow 10 Bullseye hits....and all will crumble...Purely for this reason I think Judgement is the only option.
I mentioned Mithril Drone btw, I don't think this level is possible without him also. Getting him in time and surviving till you do is a large part of the trick.
I use the following set up and get it done in around 10 tries usually (today was a good day, took only 3 tries for 2 times succes):
Level 3 Judgement, lvl6 Hero Vigor V, lvl5 All vigor and lvl5 human vigor
- 4 FA Oracle
- 2 IM9 Oracle (lvl5 Vit V rune)
- 1 IM9 Angel Prime
- 1 Mithril Drone (vanilla)
- 1 Dragon Lord(vanilla)
- 1 Bless 7 Swordmaster
The lvl6 hero vigor V is extremely important. I noticed a dramatic increase in succes rate after I leveled it from 5 to 6. It gives you time to wait some turns if your crits don't drop in exactly the right order (which happens a lot)
Cheers,

By the way, if some peope can also share the decks they use for this, maybe we can exchange some ideas. I still feel there's room for improvement in my deck but at the moment I don't now where to look. IM9/10 Paragon could probably take the place of the Angel Prime but that's still a long way off...

How do you feel about a melded Ash beast? Without specifying which meld exactly it's hard to answer this question. In general though, any creature you select for this Grimoire needs to meet at least two, but preferrably three, of the following conditions to be of use: - have FA, to survive 4K hits of the crits without "specials" - have IM9/10 to be able to withstand RIP multiple rounds. They will also stand in front of Bulls Eye. - Have HP increasing abilities like Sage Advice. - have bless 7 or higher to heal up the our hero. - Not be an Oracle, to stand in front of Chain Strike - Be a mithril Drone - Be a mithril Drone Ash beast doesn't meet any of these requirements so wouldn't be ideal to start with. On the other hand, I have heard that the crits in this Grimoire are vulnerable to Frost Blade (cannot confirm) and know for a fact that they are susceptible to Venom Edge. These may be glitches that will be fixed in the future however. So in short I wouldn't know where to put a melded Ash beast so I would go with FB10 if I were you because that would make it a useful creature outside of Grimoire also and any other meld wouldnt.... Then it would be a good idea to refreshen your memory and try again because I can assure you it works :-). It doesn't have the normal annimation on the enemy crits however, but it works all the same.

Is Patriarch a good Hero for the four star Protean Rune challenge?

Does anyone have more tips for beating the 4 star level? I was really struggling already with level 3. I'd appreciate some deck advice.

I just beat the 4* level with the following deck : Oceanus lvl3 with Protection 9, Freezing Dance and Lightfoot 7 (which i just got today) and Heal Amplify Rune III lvl4, Hero Vigor V lvl3 and Sorcery Rune V which doesn't matter here. All the melded Oracles that i have : 2 with FA3 and 1 with immunity 7, all with healer rune lvl6 and bless rune lvl5 2 melded Horned Beasts : 1 with recycle and 1 with fatigue8 both with healer runes lvl6, it's mainly for the healing and the dodge + immunity that they are in this deck and to trigger the Lightfoot Mithril Drone Techno Chief with Stabthrough6 and rune lvl6 Swordmaster with Stabthrough6 and rune lvl5 Graboid with Stabthrough7 and rune lvl6 and something else on second succesfull attempt it was a Frost Rager with Bless10 but don't remember what i used as last creature on first attempt. Focus should be on Mass Heal and Bless. Anyway i hope this helps

You're right the stabthrough is useless but this deck works to beat the 4 star level, still not sure how to beat the 5 star level. The drone has to come out fast though for it to work. Basically you need as much healing (mass heal and bless) and healthbuffs as possible to survive long enough.
So a better version would be : Oceanus Mythril Drone 3 Oracles Frost Rager with bless Techno Chief with FA Pontiff 2 Horned Beasts (melded) Yggdryad

Thanks estobaniac, I just did it with similar deck. Mythrill Drone and Oracles are essential, after you need some faens for lightfoot and FA with healing - FA Treant Elder was good here.
I think Berserk deck with Blood wallrocks with Earth totem and FA neanders and Mythrill Drone can work here too.

I am preparing for 5star grimoire after doing 4star consistantly for several months now.
My deck: Warlock level 4 (soon level 5 hopefully), hero vigor rune 6, human vigor rune V (I have to upgrade it) Dragonlord 2 FA Oracles Michael Immunity9 Michael Immunity 8 Mithril Drone
In progress: Sentry Angel Immunity 7 Oracle Immunity 7 Swordmaster - I hesitate if I should meld bless or mass heal
Last card is open, I can use Immunity 9 Naga, bloodlust swordmaster, or one my recycle HB
Do you think I can succeed with this set up? Any tips?
